Customising the User Interface
EVA Netmodeler allows you to customize the following User Interface elements
- Branding
All branding artwork is stored in the ImagePath\System directory, where ImagePath is the system setting pointing the the Graphics directory. Branding graphics can be any web-friendly graphic
format, including .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .png etc. The changeable branding elements are:
- Product Logo on the Navigation Bar
This is an 88 x 50 pixel graphic file named ArchiLogo, containing the desired product or organization logo.
- Product Logo on the Utility pages
This is an 88 x 50 pixel graphic file named iLogoMM, containing the desired product or organization logo.
- Splash (Logon) page
This is an 88 x 50 pixel graphic file named iLogoLogon, containing the desired product or organization logo.
- Background
This is a graphic file named ArchieBack. It is displayed as the background for the Logon page. This image will be tiled to fill the browser window.
- Welcome Messages
The ArchiLogonMessage1 and ArchiLogonMessage2 system settings contain character strings that get concatenated and displayed in the footer of the Logon page. If these values hold HTML, the HTML will be displayed and rendered by the browser. The purpose of these setting is to allow organizations to personalize their logon screens, and easily add pertinent user information on the screen like notices and so forth
- Site / Organization name
- Browser title
The BrowserTitle system setting determines what is displayed at the top of the browser screen. The string must be delimited with pipe characters and recognizes the following keywords:
- PRODUCTBRAND - a character string indicating the product brand name
- VERSION - the current version of the EVA Netmodeler server application
- DATE - the current system date
- CURRENTBROWSER - system generated name of the current type of browser
- Report title
The ReportTitleOrganisation system setting contains the character string that will be displayed In the Report Title section of all reports.
- Type and Relationship Images
These images are stored in the directory pointed to by the ImagePath system setting. You are free to change these images to a set of your choice. The guideline is to use a 32 x 32
pixel GI for small images, and a 90 x 90 pixel GIF for large images. It is best to build up your own directory containing your images and retain the original file names for your images. Applying your images to your
installation is then merely a process of copying your image files from your directory into the directory pointed to by the ImagePath system setting.
- System Images
All system images are stored in the ImagePath\System directory, where ImagePath is the system setting pointing the the Graphics directory. System Images are used to build up all system
buttons, toolbars and other system display elements
- Style Sheets (
- Discussion HTML properties can contain HTML tags, including references to style sheets. These style sheets must be stored in the \Application\Archi\js directory
- The style sheets are also used when launching the Graphical Modeler, and during Web Site Generation. These style sheets are stored in items of the type ArchiSystemSettingsLong
