The EVA Netmodeler Filter Model
What a user sees is affected by:
- Security Permissions (what are you possibly allowed?)
- Domain Filters (what sets of types do you want to see?)
- Item Filters (what items within allowed types do you want to see?)
- Attribute filters
- Relationship filters
- Hierarchy filters
General characteristics of filters.
- Filters are activated within a session and remain active until altered.
- Users can activate additional filters or deactivate filters at any time during a session
- Filters affect the visible data across all browsers while active
- Filters are named and stored for easy use by non-technical users
- They can be combined logically (e.g. AND, OR)
- Users can specify which filters to activate at login time
