Platform Requirements

Server requirements for EVA Netmodeler release 2.5 or 2.6

  • Windows 32 bit operating system
    • Windows Server 2000, 2003 or later
    • Windows XP
    • Windows Vista
  • Web Server capable of invoking a CGI application and configured to allow serving of .pr file type if using Graphical Modeler
    • IIS
    • Apache
    • Other..
  • SQL'92 compliant database management system
    • Access
    • SQL Server
    • Oracle
    • DB2
    • MySQL etc.
  • TCP/IP Communications with relevant ports open in firewalls etc.
    • Bandwidth between EVA Netmodeler server and browser clients should exceed 64 kbs
  • Available physical memory should not be less than 2GB
  • Available disk space not less than 1GB

Optional

  • If EVA Netmodeler Server, Database Server and/or Web Server are on separate platforms communicating via sockets then bandwidth between these components should be very high (not < 1 Gb/s )
  • SSL certificates may be installed for secure communication between EVA Netmodeler server and clients via HTTP/S
