Upgrading the Server Software
Most upgrades to a new release will include a new image (Archie2WebApp.icx) file. This is simply copied to the Application directory before restarting the server. It is a good practice to backup the full repository and documents
directory before doing an upgrade. You will probably also want to keep a copy of the previous .icx file before replacing it with the new one.
As far as possible, new releases will automatically install any new items required, such as internal types, lookup values, system settings or area security items to control access to new features etc., but in some cases an
import may still be necessary. In this case, import the provided . xml files in the order of ascending release numbers. If there are associated assets (e.g. images, documents etc.) place these together with the .xml files
in the Export directory of the target site before running the import.
