Bulk Setting Change

This tool allows the mass changing of system settings by specifying a search argument and a replacement value.

It was designed for careful use by administrators before EVA Netmodeler had the capability to substitute values in settings. This latter ability is now preferred to allow a single setting to be changed to effectively update all paths within EVA Netmodeler or all URLs for the current web environment where the server is installed. The bulk setting change utility can still be used to make global changes, but should be used with extreme care and only by knowledgeable and authorised users.

The Current settings values list can be clicked to display current settings. Within the displayed list, you can click an entry and press select. This will then be populated to the Change Values from box. This entry may be modified manually. You should then provide a Change Values to replacement value. Note that the substitution will be made across all system settings. You should thus be very careful how you specify the from and to values..   The tool will show what settings are altered, but there is no "undo". If you mess it up, you may have lots to change back manually.

System settings will be refreshed on the server once the changes are applied.

This function is accessible from the main EVA Netmodeler system menu.
