Time Related Information & Calendar
EVA Netmodeler provides tools for working with time related data.
The Date property type accepts dates entered in a variety of popular ways, and stores them in an internal format. Dates are displayed in the format specified by the operating system of the server on which the repository is running.
If a date is not entered or is invalid, it will be stored and interpreted as UNKNOWN. This is important - you will not be forced to enter a "valid" date when it is unknown (e.g. the finish date for a project when you are busy
setting up the initial plan). It is sometimes more accurate to have an UNKNOWN date value. EVA Netmodeler will handle these correctly in calculations too - if any calculation using a date as a source value finds an UNKNOWN
value, the result will also be UNKNOWN. The Calendar Browser has a feature to display items where the start or end dates are UNKNOWN, so that these can be easily located for updating when information becomes available.
The Calendar Browser provides a convenient view for time related items, such as appointments, projects, courses, public holidays etc. Year, month and day views are available and it is easy to switch between these. Items viewed
can include all time related types (within security constraints) or selected types.
Time related information can also be used in custom views. Below is an example of a Program custom view.
